This from Will, the local Obama staffer: Tuesday marks the very last primary contest. To celebrate the end of the primary season, we are asking all Democrats to come together and watch the numbers come in. Invite all your friends and family to join us at the Blue Note on Tuesday (17 N 9th St), June 3rd at 6:00pm. As always, here is the my.barackobama.com link: http://my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/4bm7 We at Obama for America are humbled by the hard work all of you have put into this campaign. We were told that Senator Obama would never make it this far. What "they" did not know, is that this movement is about more than our candidate. This movement is about you, is about us. When we were told it was not possible, that we could not even compete, we replied: Yes we can! We have worked hard, and on Tuesday we can watch the results of all this work as the last states conduct their primaries. Hope to see you there! On June 5, Senator Ken Jacob will be debating Republican Representative Bob Onder. The debate will be held at Waters Auditorium on the University of Missouri campus at 7:00PM. Rep. Onder has proposed legislation that would restrict a woman's right to choose whereas Ken has always been a strong advocate for women's rights. The public will be able to ask questions and engage both candidates. The format of the debate, similar to the Lincoln Douglas debates, will allow each debater to interrogate the other. We're asking all Democrats to come out and send Bob Onder a message. Bob's right wing policies have no place in Jefferson City or Congress. To access the legislation being debated, please follow this link: http://www.house.state.mo.us/billtracking/bills081/bills/hb1831.htm Neither the Democratic Party or Muleskinners endorses candidates during primaries or non partisan elections.
